Web Design

Prerequisite: Computer Applications I and Computer Applications II.
Description:
This course helps the student learn advanced and practical skills of designing pages on the Web. Students will use Dreamweaver and other programs to designand maintain the high school web pages.
Homework:
Writing copy, video copy and working on web page layouts outside the normal school day may be necessary to meet deadlines.
Class Format:
Primary lab.

Information Computer Technology (ICT)

Prerequisite: Computer Applications I.
Description: Students will learn to combine text, sound graphics, and video to create professional multimedia projects, Web displays, presentations, and tutorials using MS PowerPoint and Excel.
Homework: Textbook readings and exercises. No homework required. It is okay if the student has the software at home.
Class Format: Lecture, teacher-led exercise, and individual computer lab work.

Algebra 1A

Prerequisite: Teacher recommendation.
Description: This course covers the first half of Algebra 1 over the entire year.
Homework: Daily homework with time in class.
Class Format: Discussion, Independent or group work, as well as lectures.

Algebra 1B

Prerequisite: Teacher recommendation.
Description: This course covers the second half of Algebra 1 over the entire year.
Homework: Daily homework with time in class.
Format: Discussion, Independent or group work, as well as lectures.

About Mrs. Paramore

Born in Independence Missouri, Mrs. Paramore was raised in South East Kansas on a farm. She went to college at Pittsburg State, where she got her Bachelors of Science in Math Education. From here she went to Emporia State University, where she got her Masters in Instructional Design & Technology. Her first job was teaching, and she has done it ever since.
