Students of Literature through Performance I recently read the play Everyman, a midevil morality play about a man who has to change his ways or Death will come to him. The class then split into two different groups and wrote their own versions of Everyman, one of the groups wrote the play Everystudent, which was about one student sticking up for himself against a bully. The other was , a story about a girl who took too many things for granted and almost lost everything. In the end the girl realized what all she had and how much it meant to her so she changed her ways. The drama class has also read You The Jury, parts of Hamlet, parts of Oedipus Rex, and 10 Little Indains. With Oedipus Rex, the class put on a mask play. They also finished watching Hamlet. Currently their working on a research paper and then they will be performing a play aat the semester break.
